According to officially unconfirmed press news, Argentine conductor Carlos Païta has died in Switzerland in December 19, at the age of 83. Carlos Païta was born on 10 March 1932 in Buenos Aires in a family with Hungarian an Itaklian roots. He studied conducting with Artur Rodziński and started his professional career at the Colón Theater in Buenos Aires. He moved permanently to Europe in 1968. He made a lot of recordings with a broad repertoire.
