QS World University Ranking has published the world’s top music universities, based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact. The Number One position is held by The Juilliard School, United States, followed by University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Austria). On the third place comes London’s Royal College of Music, followed by University of Oxford (UK), Royal Academy of Music (UK), Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (UK), Sibelius Academy (Finland), University of California, Berkeley (US), Guildhall School of Music and Drama (UK), Indiana University Bloomington (US) Royal College of Music in Stockholm (Sweden), Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris (France), Curtis Institute of Music (US), Royal Holloway University of London (UK), University of California, Los Angeles, Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, Harvard University (US), University of Cambridge (UK), Conservatoire de Musique de Genève (Switzerland) and Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin.
So we learn that most of the British universities are among the 20 best, that no Russian school is among those twenty and that the Mozarteum is far away.
