49-year-old Bulgarian conductor Rossen Milanov has been named the ninth music director of the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra (NY). In September, Milanov was also selected as the next music director of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in Columbus, Ohio, starting next season. Milanov is also currently music director of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, music director of the professional training orchestra Symphony in C in Camden, N.J., and principal conductor of the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias in Spain.
