For its 850th birthday, Cathedral Notre-Dame in Paris will present a very special choral program composed by 15 contemporary composers such as Thierry Escaich, Nicolas Bacri and Eric Lebrun. It has been commissioned by the association ‘Musique Sacrée à Notre-Dame de Paris’ for the children’s choir ‘Maîtrise Notre-Dame de Paris’ and will consist of one ‘Missa Brevis’ and 12 motets. With 15 composers from different styles the ensemble will be a panorama of contemporary liturgical music. Here is the list of the composers and the works to be performed on October 22 at Notre-Dame.
