Das Wort Stjernebru (Brücke der Sterne) stammt aus der norwegischen Hymne Nedi vester soli glader (Die Sonne geht im Westen unter) und spielt auf die Reise ins Jenseits an, den Übergang oder die Brücke vom Irdischen zum Ewigen.
Das Wort, so heißt es, kann sich auch auf den Nachthimmel selbst beziehen, oder auf das Ewige Licht, Lux Aeterna.
In Stjernebru hat Ørjan Matre eine Auswahl norwegischer Volkslieder als Ausgangspunkt genommen, die mit Improvisationen und Arrangements als Intermezzos kombiniert und vom Norske Jentekor, dem Norwegischen Mädchenchor, gesungen werden.
Der Norske Jentekor überzeugt einmal mehr mit engelsgleichem Gesang von schönster Reinheit und perfekter Intonation. Zusammen mit den sparsam eingesetzten Instrumenten entsteht so ein ätherischer Klang, der den Hörer im Surround-Sound der Pure Audio Blu-ray einhüllt und in andere Sphären entführt. Das von 2L mikrophontechnisch optimal betreute Album gibt es auch als SACD.
The word Stjernebru (Bridge of Stars) comes from the Norwegian hymn Nedi vester soli glader (The Sun Sets in the West) and alludes to the journey to the afterlife, the transition or bridge from the earthly to the eternal.
The word, it is said, can also refer to the night sky itself, or to the eternal light, Lux Aeterna.
In Stjernebru, Ørjan Matre has taken a selection of Norwegian folk songs as a starting point, which are combined with improvisations and arrangements as intermezzi and sung by Det Norske Jentekor, the Norwegian Girls’ Choir.
Det Norske Jentekor once again impresses with angelic singing of the most beautiful purity and perfect intonation. Together with the sparingly used instruments, this creates an ethereal sound that envelops the listeners in the surround sound of the Pure Audio Blu-ray and transports them to other spheres. The album, perfectly engineered by 2L, is also available on SACD.
