As an appropriate response to the behaving of an utterly autocratic Potus, the musical 1984 after George Orwell’s novel will come to New York’s Broadway in June 2017. The piece was originally produced in the U.K. by Headlong, Nottingham Playhouse and the Almeida Theater.
The Big Brother story is set in a dystopian future where critical thought is suppressed by a totalitarian government. After the 2016 election, the charts show that George Orwell’s novel has recently hit the bestseller lists again.
