After a short lock-out, the 66 musicians of the Québec Symphony Orchestra and the band’s management have reached an agreement for a new contract of 5 years. The musicians agreed to a thin additional salary increase of 0.25% for the year 2019-2020, representing a total of $ 7,550 for the employer. This almost symbolic amount allows musicians to have their current salary at the end of the collective agreement, with some cuts before. After this success, no concert has to be cancelled. The planned concerts will take place today and Friday.
