The International Pride Orchestra, based in San Francisco, has been dismissed from AH Trump’s Kennedy Center where it was scheduled to play a concert on June 4, 2025. The orchestra has announced that it will move the event to the Strathmore Music Center in Bethesda, Maryland, on June 5.
Meanwhile AH Trump has not seen that his Center still has a section devoted to Pride, with the subtitle: « In recognition of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, the Kennedy Center reaffirms a culture of inclusivity. » The text says: « At the Kennedy Center, all are welcome and safe regardless of orientation, gender, identity, or expression. We believe in celebrating the authenticity of our guests, staff, and artists, and we commit to presenting all stories on our stages. We recognize that every individual deserves respect, dignity, and the right to express themselves through—and see themselves in—art. By embracing and supporting the diversity of our community, we answer our calling to be the nation’s cultural center. » So sad, that all this is tempi passati now.
