Alexander Liebreich: “I am deeply honored by the commitment of the City of Valencia and the trust of the management and fine musicians of the Orquestra di Valencia to have been offered the position of Chief Conductor and Artistic Director. The unique tradition of the Orquestra di Valencia in collaboration with some of the finest conductors such as Sergiu Celibidache, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Chailly, Valery Gergiev and Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, or soloists including Mstislav Rostropovich, Maria Joao Pires, Gidon Kremer, José Iturbi, Montserrat Caballé and Waltraud Meier has created a strong landmark of classical music making in Valencia. I am looking forward to the future challenges and to creating extraordinary concerts in their home, the famous Palau de la Musica Valencia. »
