The Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra announced that German conductor Alexander Liebreich, will become Chief Conductor and Artistic Director from September 2018. The young Czech conductor Marek Sedivy will be the Principal Guest conductor. Both will succeed Ondrej Lenard and Tomas Brauner.
Alexander Liebreich, 49, is also Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (until 2019), Artistic Director of the Katowice Kultura Natura Festival and Artistic Director of the Richard Strauss Festival in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
