The Vallès Symphony Orchestra (OSV) based in Sabadell, Spain, has announced the appointment of conductor Andrés Salado as the new principal conductor of the ensemble for the next two seasons. Salado will take up the position on September 1, 2025, succeeding Xavier Puig, who has led the orchestra since 2018.
Salado will combine this role with his position as the conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica.
Xavier Puig will remain linked to the orchestra as its resident conductor, a new role within the OSV’s organizational structure that will ensure the continuity and consolidation of the musical project developed in recent years. Puig will balance this responsibility with his work as the conductor of the Orfeó Català and the Chamber Choir of the Palau de la Música Catalana.
