The winner of Classic Piano International 2024 is the Netherlands based pianist Andrey Gugnin, 36. He triumphed after four rounds at Dubai’s Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, scooping €100,000 in cash and a life-changing ten-date concert tour with an honorarium of €50,000.
Gugnin, a ‘Stand with Ukraine’ musician, is the winner of the 12th International German Piano Award in 2023. In 2016 he won First Prize at the prestigious Sydney International Piano Competition. He won the Gold Medal and Audience Award at the XCI International Gina Bachauer Piano Competition in 2014, and second prize at the 2013 Beethoven International Piano Competition in Vienna.
