Yesterday, during an Audience Questions & Answers Event at the Boston Symphony Hall, Andris Nelsons, newly appointed Boston Symphony Orchestra Music Director, signed his contract next to Ted Kelly (Chairman of the BSO Board of Trustees) and Mark Volpe (BSO Managing Director) at his first Boston appearance since his appointment.

A proclamation by the City of Boston declared Tuesday, June 25, 2013 ‘Andris Nelsons Day’.
Andris Nelsons threw the first pitch at the Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park yesterday evening after leading a brass ensemble of BSO and Pops musicians in pre-game fanfare. Andris Nelsons will conduct the Boston Symphony Orchestra for the first time since his appointment at Tanglewood on Saturday, July 27, leading the Verdi Requiem.
