In the New York Times, 58-year-old German violinist Christian Tetzlaff has announced that he is canceling his planned US tour this spring due to Trump’s policies. Among other things, the cancellation concerns a performance by the Tetzlaff Quartet at Carnegie Hall in New York.

He was particularly concerned about the rapprochement with Russia and the decisions that had a negative impact on transgender people. « It feels like I’m watching a horror movie as a child, » he said in the interview.

« I feel utter anger. I cannot go on with this feeling inside. I cannot just go and play a tour of beautiful concerts, » the New York Times quoted the violinist.
