The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in Little Rock has hired Geoffrey Robson, 41, as Music Director. Robson, who joined the orchestra in the fall of 2008 as Associate Conductor and violinist, has conducted the orchestra since the departure of former Music Director Philip Mann at the end of the 2018-19 season.
In 2017 he was awarded the Respighi Prize in Conducting and performed at Carnegie Hall. He holds degrees from Yale University and Michigan State University, and also studied conducting at Mannes College of Music.
