The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra celebrated the grand opening of the Stella Boyle Smith Music Center on Saturday. The $11.75 million, 20,000-square-foot facility in Little Rock will serve as a musical center for Arkansas, offering music education and performance opportunities. It also has a 300-seat performance hall, rehearsal spaces, teaching studios, and a broadcast and recording studio.
The project, named in honor of Stella Boyle Smith, was made possible by more than 200 donors.
