Due to increasing confusion in the physical distribution of the label Arthaus and the fact that the Arthaus name rights were first acquired by Studiocanal during their purchase of Kinowelt and subsequently licensed to Arthaus, the company announces a name change from Arthaus Musik GmbH to Monarda Music GmbH.
For nearly 20 years, the film production Monarda Arts GmbH, has been operating alongside Arthaus Musik GmbH. As a longstanding label, Monarda Arts has been used for art documentaries on physical products and will continue to be used for such. For all new music productions, the label Monarda Music will now be added. Products already established on the market will remain under the Arthaus Musik label.
