Das ‘Cheng2 Duo’ (Bryan und Silvie Cheng) spielt bei Audite ein spanisches Programm mit Bearbeitungen für Cello und Klavier. Mich stört auf diesem CD das Klangbild: es ist schmal, mittig, gedrängt, und dass sich das Cello überhaupt vom ‘Ensemble Resonanz’ abhebt, ist der direkten Mikrophonierung des Soloinstruments zuzuschreiben, die aber gleichzeitig dieses Cello mit einem Schleier überzieht, so dass es weitaus weniger brillant klingt als die Musiker des Orchesters. Der 65-jährige deutsche Dirigent, Musikforscher und Violinist Reinhard Goebel wurde mit sofortiger Wirkung zum Künstlerischen Leiter der ‘Berliner Barock Solisten’ ernannt. Das 1995 von Rainer Kussmaul gegründete Ensemble war seit 2010 ohne festen Künstlerischen Leiter und arbeitete projektbezogen mit unterschiedlichen Künstlern zusammen.
