Nach den kurzen Einleitungsstücken, Fanfare und Menuet antique, beide in schönen Farben und extremer Klarheit, folgt eine vom Orchester und der Sängerin sehr atmosphärische und expressive Interpretation von Ravels Shéhérazade. Die Stimme von Fleur Barron setzt die Musik zu den Gedichten von Tristan Klingsor wunderbar um. Genau so gut gelingen ihr die Mallarmé-Lieder. Die Textverständlichkeit ist freilich gering. Beide Polen dieser Einspielung waren in ihrer Zeit als Konzertpianisten sehr bekannt. Ihre Kompositionen sind weitgehend in Vergessenheit geraten. Und was Józef Wieniawski und Ignacy Jan Paderewski noch gemeinsam hatten war, dass sie aus Polen emigrierten. Chilean-Italian conductor Paolo Bortolameolli has been named the next Music Director of the Opera Nacional de Chile and Filarmonica de Santiago with a tenure commencing in the 2026 season for an initial three years, Arabella Arts announced.
