Tänzerischen Schwung sucht man in dieser mit Fandango betitelten Aufnahme vergebens. Hier wird gespielt, als hätten die Tänzer ein steifes Knie. Auch die leidenschaftlichen Bewegungen, die einen Fandango ausmachen, fehlen ebenso wie rhythmische Prägnanz und knisternde Spannung. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been drawn to the world of creation in all its forms. I grew up in the Ukrainian provincial town of Donetsk, where it was difficult to access works of art, and I had to work very hard to get them. In return, I had the freedom to choose according to my own intuition. When I arrived in Moscow at the age of 16, things were much more regulated. Die 1931 in Haarlem, New York, geborene Philippa Duke Schuyler wurde als pianistisches Wunderkind bekannt. Als Pianistin gab sie Konzerte in über 80 Ländern. Sie betätigte sich auch als Komponistin, Journalistin und Autorin. Sie war die Tochter eines schwarzen Vaters und einer weißen Mutter. Außerhalb der USA hatte sie Erfolg, doch in den Vereinigten Staaten konnte sie keinen vergleichbaren Erfolg finden. Als Journalistin war sie Korrespondentin für den Vietnamkrieg. Sie starb am 9.
