They have confirmed UK musicians and performers do not need visas or work permits for short-term tours. These countries are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Sweden. The UK allows touring performers and support staff to come to the UK for up to 3 months without a visa.

Tomorrow, August 6, the San Diego Symphony will open its new bayside 10,000-capacity concert venue at Jacobs Park. Called The Rady Shell in honor of its two top donors, it kicks off its inaugural season with a concert featuring symphony music director Rafael Payare conducting the orchestra. Um die Frage, was in heutiger Zeit als schön anzusehen ist, kreisen die Kompositionen dieser CD. Aus allerlei Komponenten, die sich auch nur aus Fragmenten oder Klängen entwickeln, aber auch Sprache aufgreifen, wie das neu geschaffene Hornflowers, entwickelt Nils-Henrik Asheim eine muntere und abwechslungsreiche Gestaltensprache. Entsprechend der oft kurzen Struktur der Ausgangselemente hat diese vielfach eine stakkatohafte oder perkussiv anmutende Gestalt und entwickelt nur zögerlich längere Linien. Wenn Oivind Farmen auf seinem Akkordeon Mozart spielt, ist die Musik so reich, dass man glaubt, mehrere Akkordeonisten gleichzeitig zu hören. In anderen Worten, Farmen nimmt ungemein viel aus der Komposition und aus seinem Instrument heraus, mit dem er nicht das im Original vorhandene Instrument nachahmen will, sondern ihm einen eigenen Ausdruck und einen eigenen klanglichen Reichtum gibt.
