Der israelische Cellist Amit Peled setzt seine Einspielung der Bach-Suiten mit den Nrn. 4 und 5 fort, die er mit einer Transkription des Andantes aus der Dritten Symphonie von Johannes Brahms anreichert.
Ein lyrischer Atem und ein fein nuancierter, sehr geschmeidiger Celloklang sind die Hauptcharakteristiken dieser Bach- Interpretationen.
Peleds Musizieren ist sehr natürlich, meidet jede Extravaganz und lässt uns mit dieser Ehrlichkeit ohne Umschweife in die Musik und ihre Klangwelt eintauchen. Jeder Satz wird mit expressiver Kraft als eigenständige musikalische Aussage präsentiert. Aber letztendlich wirkt jede Suite bewundernswert abgerundet, gebaut nach Peleds untrüglichem architektonischem Gespür.

A lyrical breath and a finely nuanced, very supple cello sound are the main characteristics of these Bach interpretations.
Peled’s music-making is very natural, avoiding any extravagance, and with this honesty he allows us to immerse ourselves in the music and its sound-world without any ado. Each movement is presented with expressive power as an independent musical statement. But, in the end, each suite is admirably built according to Peled’s unfailing architectural sense.
