34-year-old Israeli conductor Bar Avni won First Prize at this year’s La Maestra competition in Paris. She also The French concert-halls and orchestras Prize, the ECHO Prize, the ARTE Prize, and the Paris Mozart Orchestra Prize.
Israeli conductor Bar Avni, Music Director of the Bayer Philharmoniker Leverkusen, is a member of Bayer Kultur’s prestigious stARTacademy. She is a laureate of the International Kurt Masur Institute in 2021 and of the 2nd Prize and Orchestra Prize of the Fitelberg Conducting Competition in 2018.
