London’s Royal Opera House has commissioned the British composer George Benjamin (*1960) to write his third opera, which is to be premiered in 2018. The libretto is to be written by Martin Crimp who already wrote the librettos for Benjamin’s first two operas, ‘Into the Little Hill’ and ‘Written on Skin”. ROH is still looking for partners in this commission.
