Hector Berlioz
French composer Hector Berlioz died on 8 March 1869, aged 65. So 2019 will be the 150th anniversary of his death. Since Berlioz has always been better served by the UK then by France, a dedicated website ‘Berlioz 150’ has been launched a while back by a UK based Charity. Nothing similar in the composer’s native country! This week, finally, France woke up, and French Minister for culture announced the creation of a Comité Berlioz which well be headed by Bruno Messina.
