Markus Poschner setzt seine Bruckner-Einspielungen mit der zweiten Fassung der Symphonie fort, jener von 1876, die wohl schon anders ist als die Urfassung von 1874, aber noch nicht so sehr modifiziert wurde wie die 1878er Fassung.
Poschner gibt dieser Fassung eine sehr frische und temperamentvolle Grundstimmung. Er sorgt sich um Details und stellt uns einen unerhört phantasievollen Bruckner und eine sehr verspielte Vierte vor. Da sind wir weit entfernt von dem Bruckner von 1878, der viel ernsthafter klingt.
Die vielen kleinen Details wirken wie Arabesken und bringen zudem eine Vielfalt in der Transparenz, die man nur bewundern kann.
Insgesamt bekommt die Romantische so eine Unbeschwertheit, die, wie die Aufnahmen der Urfassung und der bereits teilweise veröffentlicht Revisionen ein ganz neues Licht auf diese Symphonie wirft.
Markus Poschner continues his Bruckner recordings with the second version of the symphony, that of 1876, which is probably already different from the original version of 1874, but not yet modified as much as the 1878 version.
Poschner gives this version a very fresh and spirited mood. He cares about details and presents us with a very imaginative Bruckner and a very playful Fourth. Here we are far from the Bruckner of 1878, which sounds much more serious.
The many small details seem like arabesques and also bring a variety in transparency that one can only admire.
All in all, the Romantic thus acquires a light-heartedness that, like the recordings of the original version and the already partially published revisions, sheds a whole new light on this symphony.
