There will be fierce competition on the podium when 20 young, talented ensembles battle for the prizes, honor and future concerts in Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition October 2019.
The pre-jury has now selected the 10 string quartets and 10 wind quintets who will be given the opportunity to compete on the three great venues of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Royal Danish Library and the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen this October. The number of applicants has doubled for this year’s competition and talented ensembles from all over the world have applied to the preliminary round.
The competition takes place from 15 – 19 October 2019 and is a collaboration between three major Danish cultural institutions: Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Royal Danish Library and the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
