Nach dem Rausschmiss von Jonathan Meese haben die Bayreuther Festspiele den Intendanten des Hessischen Staatstheaters Wiesbaden, Uwe Eric Laufenberg beauftragt, die Neuinszenierung des ‘Parsifal’ im Jahr 2016 übernehmen. Das Bühnenbild wird Gisbert Jäkel gestalten, die Kostüme Jessica Karge. « Sein Konzept bietet eine ebenso anspruchsvolle wie theatral fesselnde Interpretation des Werks“, sagt Katharina Wagner, « die auch organisatorisch technisch und finanziell realisierbar ist.“

Der mexikanische Dirigent Luis Fernando Luna Guarneros wurde erdrosselt aufgefunden. Der Ermordete war ‘Associate music director’ des ‘Orquesta Sinfónica de Yucatán’.

In der Kategorie Kammermusik wurde Volume 2 der Cage-Edition mit Pascal Meyer und Xenia Pestova nominiert (Naxos), in der Kategorie ‘Solo Instrument’ die Rameau-Ligeti-CD von Cathy Krier bei Cavi und in der Rubrik ‘Choral Music’ die Etcetera-Produktion mit Werken von Cage und Frescobaldi, gesungen von ‘Canto LX’ unter Frank Agsteribbe.

Detroit Symphony Orchestra

What does Detroit sound like? The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) and composer Tod Machover will ask every Detroiter that question in the coming year as they work with the community to create a collaborative symphony with sound submissions and conceptual contributions from the public. The work, entitled Symphony in D, will premiere at Orchestra Hall on Nov. 16, 2015. The project is made possible by a $315,000 grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Read More →
