The French baritone Ludovic Tézier, 55, received the Premio Piero Cappuccilli rom the Cappuccilli Foundation named after the great Italian operatic baritone Piero Cappuccilli (1929-2005). Tézier is the latest singer to receive the award following Plácido Domingo in 2022 and Luca Salsi in 2021.

Juraj Valcuha

Slovak conductor Juraj Valcuha, 47, has extended his contract as Music Director of the Houston Symphony and will remain with the orchestra through the 2025-2026 season. He began his tenure as Music Director in 2022. He is also the Music Director of the Teatro di San Carlo and first guest conductor of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. He was chief conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI from 2009 to 2016.
