Der tschechische Dirigent Jakub Hrusa wird mit dem Bayerischen Kulturpreis 2023 in der Kategorie Musik ausgezeichnet. Hrusa ist seit 2016 Chefdirigent der Bamberger Symphoniker. Ab September 2025 wird er Musikdirektor des Royal Opera House in London. Die Preisverleihung findet am 16. November in München statt.
Four composers were named the 2024 Azrieli Music Prizes (AMP) laureates by the Toronto based Azrieli Foundation. Das grosse Festspielhaus in Salzburg
Laut Angaben der FPÖ ab, kostete die Reise des österreichischen Bundespräsidenten Van der Bellen zu den Salzburger Festspielen den Steuerzahler 39.991,11 Euro. Der Präsident sei mit einem ganzen ‘Hofstaat’ nach Salzburger gereist. Angeblich sollen Van der Bellens Festspielreisen (neben Salzburg fuhr er zu den Bregenzer Festspielen sowie zu den Seefestspielen Mörbisch und den Tiroler Festspielen Erl) 2023 rund 57.000 Euro gekostet haben.
News are available now about the case of Sergey Smbatyan, the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia who was arrested for fraud in his country. We learn from his lawyer that by the decision of the Prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia dated October 27, 2023, Maestro Sergey Smbatyan was acquitted, and the criminal prosecution against him was ceased on the basis that he did not commit the penalties for which he was charged.
