Die Theater im deutschen Bundesland Sachsen-Anhalt werden 2014 deutlich weniger Hilfe vom Land erhalten als bisher. Die Subventionen gehen von derzeit 36 Millionen auf 29 Millionen Euro zurück. Die Theater in Magdeburg und Halle sollen künftig einen Zuschuss in Höhe von 9,05 Millionen Euro erhalten. Bislang bekam Halle 11,9 Millionen Euro pro Jahr. Der Zuschuss für das Anhaltische Theater Dessau sinkt von 8,13 auf 5,2 Millionen Euro. Unberührt von den Kürzungen bleiben die Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie Schönebeck und das Philharmonische Kammerorchester, die weiterhin mit jeweils 341.000 Euro gefördert werden.
Renaud Capuçon a été engagé par deux festivals suisses, celui de St-Prex en août et celui de Montreux en septembre. Maintenant, la direction du festival de Montreux exige que Capuçon annule sa participation au ‘St-Prex Classics’, car son contrat stipule que l’artiste ne peut pas jouer un autre concert dans un rayon inférieur à 200 kilomètres, pendant 6 mois. Cette sorte de contrats n’est pas exceptionnelle, et la discussion surgie publiquement est aussi peu professionnelle que la façon d’agir de l’agent de Capuçon qui, manifestement, n’avait pas bien lu le premier contrat avant d’en signer un autre.
The Pittsburgh Symphony has reached a 3-year contract with its musicians. For the upcoming season the new deal boosts the musicians’ base salary by 4 percent to $104,114 annually. There will be no change for the following season, then, again, an increase by 3 percent to $107,237 for the 2015-16 season. This means that at the end of the contract, pay levels from 2010-11, before the pay cut, will nearly be reached.
