Daniel Barenboim, der im Januar aus Gesundheitsgründen den Posten des Generalmusikdirektors der Berliner Staatsoper aufgegeben hat, dirigiert wieder an der Scala. Der 80-Jährige, der von 2007 bis 2014 Musikdirektor in Mailand war, ersetzt Daniel Harding, der wegen familiärer Probleme von drei Mozart-Konzerten zurückgetreten ist, die kommende Woche im Mailänder Theater geplant sind.

Despite the war it is waging in Ukraine, Russia wants to organize the International Tchaikovsky Competition, which is held every four years, from June 19 to July 1, in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Zum sechsten Mal lädt die Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar junge Pianisten zur 6th International Franz Liszt Competition | Young Pianists ein, die vom 25. Oktober bis zum 5. November 2023 in Weimar stattfinden wird. Es gibt zwei Alterskategorien: I (bis 13 Jahre) und II (14 bis 17 Jahre). Anmeldungen sind ab März auf dem Online-Portal der Hochschule unter www.hfm-weimar.de/liszt-junior möglich. Anmeldeschluss für den Wettbewerb ist der 7. Juli.
