Der 80-jährige Daniel Barenboim hat nach seiner Erkrankung seine Rückkehr ans Dirigentenpult angekündigt. Er wird in der Staatsoper unter den Linden Berlin die Konzerte zum Jahreswechsel dirigieren, mit Beethovens Neunter Symphonie. Barenboim hatte Anfang Oktober seinen vorläufigen Rückzug angekündigt, nach dem eine neurologische Erkrankung diagnostiziert worden war.
