Internationalen Svetlanov Wettbewerbs (2022) und 1. Preisträger des 8. Internationalen Panula-Wettbewerbs (2021). Jonathon Heyward
The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) announced a three-year contract extension for American conductor Jonathon Heyward as Music Director. Heyward, 33, is since 2022 in this position. In summer 2024, be became Music Director of the Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center through 2029, now with the added title and role of Artistic Director.

Der deutsche Dirigent Bernhard Klee ist im Alter von 89 Jahren in der Schweiz gestorben. Klee lernte Klavier, Violine und Kontrabass und war unter Thomaskantor Günther Ramin von 1948 bis 1955 Mitglied im Leipziger Thomanerchor. Nach dem Abitur 1955 an der Thomasschule zu Leipzig studierte er an der Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik Köln, wo Günter Wand (Orchesterleitung), Else Schmitz-Gohr (Klavier) und Maurits Frank (Kammermusik) zu seinen Lehrern gehörten.
