Amercian conductor John Wilton Nelson died at the age of 83.Born in Costa Rica, on Dec. 6, 1941, Nelson studied at Wheaton College and later at the Juilliard School of Music. He was Music Director of the Greenwich Philharmonia in Connecticut and the New Jersey Pro Arte Chorale. Die Saison des Hagen Quartetts steht im Zeichen der Quartette von Joseph Haydn. In jedem ihrer vier Konzerte stellen sie zwei Werke vor. An diesem Abend hatten sie zwei Stücke aus Opus 55 ausgesucht. Als drittes Werk eines jeden Auftritts gesellen sie jeweils etwas ganz anderes hinzu.
