Der Bariton John Lundgren (53) hat wenige Wochen vor Beginn des Festivals seine Teilnahme im Ring des Nibelungen bei den Bayreuther Festspielen abgesagt. Er war für die Partien des Wotan und des Wanderers vorgesehen.
