Nachdem Roth wegen sexueller Belästigung beim Gürzenich-Orchester und bei Les Siècles ausschied, wird Roth seine Stelle in Stuttgart antreten dürfen, weil es kein Fehlverhalten von François-Xavier Roth gegenüber Mitgliedern von SWR Orchestern gegeben habe. Dennoch soll es « präventive Maßnahmen » im Hinblick auf eine künftige Zusammenarbeit mit François-Xavier Roth geben.

The Dutch Fund for Cultural Participation has decided not to subsidize the National Youth Orchestras of the Netherlands (NJON) from 2025, their association says. The Fund for Cultural Participation’s decision is even more painful because, in addition to National Youth Orchestras Netherlands, all other organizations dedicated to the development of musical talent such as the Dutch Violin Competitions, the Princess Christina Competition, the Ricciotti Ensemble, Vocal Talent Netherlands and Britten for Young Musical Talent have been denied subsidies. German mezzo-soprano Ruth Hesse died yesterday, aged 87. She made her debut in 1958 at the Theater Lübeck as Orpheus in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, and remained there until 1960. She was a member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin from 1962 to 1995, and appeared internationally, including the Bayreuth Festival and the Salzburg Festival. Read More →
