Polish conductor Lukasz Borowicz (*1977) has been named Music Director of the Poznan Philharmonic Orchetsdra. He is the successor of Marek Pijarowski, who led the orchestra for nearly 15 years, a record in the history of the Philharmonic. Der Italiener Jacopo Salvatori (*1986) hat den zweiten Kompositionswettbewerb der Oper Leipzig gewonnen. Mit dem Stück ‘we wish to inform you that we have heard that tomorrow we shall die with our families’ hat er die Jury überzeugt, die 40 Partituren zu bewerten hatte. Salvatori lebt seit 2011 in Deutschland und engagiert sich hier sowohl als Komponist und Pianist für Neue Musik.
