People who received a dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Reykjavík’s mass vaccination center yesterday were able to experience a concert by members of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra while getting their injection, the Iceland Review reports. The ISO contacted vaccination officials and asked if they could play at the center, and the proposal was eagerly accepted.

The Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, 40, has been announced as music director of the National Opera in Paris. He will take office on August 1, for six seasons, and will keep at the same time his position as music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
