The New York Philharmonic has announced that all previously scheduled Philharmonic events have been cancelled through January 5, 2021, « in order to protect our audience, musicians, and employees from COVID-19. The Philharmonic plans to resume live performances after that time, although the dates and programming for concerts in 2021 are subject to change. »

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra has announced that Venezuelan conductor Domingo Hindoyan, 40, will succeed Vasily Petrenko as Chief Conductor in 2021 when Petrenko will become Music Director of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
