Das Bach-Archiv Leipzig als Veranstalter folgt damit der Verordnung des Sächsischen Staatsministeriums für Soziales und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt zum Schutz vor dem Coronavirus. The Shanghai Isaac Stern International Violin Competition 2020 is rescheduled to 2021, the organizer says. Since 2020 marks Isaac Stern’s 100th birthday, it has been decided that although the new competition dates will be in 2021, it will still be titled the 2020 SISIVC to commemorate Stern’s centenary. The competition will not accept new applicants, though those who have already submitted applications will be given additional time to submit their video uploads.

Enrico Calessos Vertrag als Generalmusikdirektor des Mainfranken Theaters Würzburg wurde vorzeitig verlängert. Der neue Vertrag beginnt zum 1. September und läuft bis zum 31. August 2025.
