Rigoletto auf der Seebühne Bregenz
The 2020 Bregenz Festival has been cancelled due to the coronavirus situation and to the regulations adopted by the Austrian federal government. The Rigoletto which was supposed to go in a second season will be transferred to next summer. The spectacular production will be performed on the lake stage at the 2021 festival on a total of 26 evenings, he organizer says. « We have also been able to reschedule the opera in the Festspielhaus, Nero, for next summer. Yesterday an Austrian classical music agents’ working group, frustrated by the lack of action by the Austrian Secretary of State for Culture to alleviate the situation of freelance artists – and by extension their agents – sent out a news release. This morning the Minister resigned. « We hope her departure will lead to speedy action on the part of the Government. The Oslo Philharmonic has announced a four-year contract extension with their Chief Conductor and Artistic Adviser, Klaus Mäkelä, ahead of the start of his very first season with the orchestra, taking the partnership to a total of seven seasons to come. Die Deutsche Radio Philharmonie hat ihr Programm der Konzertsaison 2020/21 vorgestellt. Die gesamten Konzerte seien beim Ausbruch der Krankheit COVID-19 fertiggestellt gewesen, hieß es auf einer gestreamten Pressekonferenz. Inwieweit sie auch wirklich durchgeführt werden können, ist im Moment ja nicht abzusehen, aber bei der DRP beliebt man « zuversichtlich, dass das neue Programm im besten Falle von einschneidenden Maßnahmen unbeeinflusst bleibt, gegebenenfalls wird es flexibel angepasst. » Read More →
Pietari Inkinen
Der Vertrag des finnischen Dirigenten Pietari Inkinen (40) als Chefdirigent der Deutschen Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern (DRP) wurde bis 2025 verlängert. Das wurde heute bei einer gestreamten Pressekonferenz bekannt. Inkinen ist bereits seit 2017 bei der DRP unter Vertrag. Inkinen is auch Chefdirigent des Japan Philharmonic Orchestra (seit der Saison 2016/17) und Chefdirigent des Prague Symphony Orchestra seit 2015.
