Monserrat Caballé

Barcelona’s City Council has decided to award the City’s Gold Medal posthumously to the recently deceased singer Monserrat Caballé. At the same time, the Council approved a proposal to dedicate a public space to the soprano and another one to the singer Freddie Mercury. Both spaces will be located in the interior of future Parc de les Glòries.

Rossen Milanov

Bulgarian Rossen Milanov will give up his position as Music Director of the Symphony Orchestra of the Principality of Asturias (OSPA) in the summer 2019. The orchestra’s board decided to not renew his contract after the conductor himself proposed to end the collaboration.
