The Solti Foundation U.S. announced today that Roderick Cox, 30, is this year’s winner of the Sir Georg Solti Conducting Award. Associate Conductor of the Minnesota Orchestra since September 2016, Roderick Cox previously served as the ensemble’s Assistant Conductor for a year. Prior to that, he served for two years as Assistant Conductor of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and Music Director of the Alabama Symphony Youth Orchestra. Read More →

Gergievs Theater hat die Kantine vorsorglich geschlossen, untersucht aber auch andere mögliche Vergiftungsquellen, weil viele Leute keine Beschwerden nach dem Kantinenbesuch hatten.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrators stopped traffic on Philadelphia’s Broad Street and disturbed the performance of Tosca at the Kimmel Center on Saturday night, where  the Philadelphia Orchestra performed a semi-staged Tosca. Two of the protesters entered the hall, shouting, so that music director Yannick Nézet-Séguin slammed his baton on the podium and walked off the stage. Read More →
