Marius Beckmann

Die Kurstadt Bad Homburg bekommt ein neues Orchester. Der Organist und Dirigent Marius Beckmann (*1993) hat dort das BGPO (British German Philharmonic Orchestra) gegründet. Am Samstag, 20. Januar, werden 60 Musiker und ihr Dirigent zum ersten Mal gemeinsam proben. Das erste Konzert wird am 16. Februar 2018 im Kurtheater in Bad Homburg stattfinden. According to a press release from the RPO, the Royal Philarmonic and Charles Dutoit have together decided to bring forward his resignation from his role as Artistic Director and Principal Conductor. Das ‘Lucerne Festival’ hat heute die Absage der Konzerte des ‘Simon Bolivar Orchesters’ aus Venezuela unter Gustavo Dudamel im September 2018 mitgeteilt. Das ist ein weiteres Zeichen dafür, dass dieses Orchester, einst Aushängeschild des Musiklebens in Venezuela, quasi am Ende ist. Die Regierung des Diktators Maduro hat es zugrunde gerichtet.
