Das gesamte Publikum des Opernhauses in der bulgarischen Hauptstadt Sofia musste am Samstagabend wegen einer Reizgas-Attacke in Sicherheit gebracht worden. Kurz nach Beginn der Oper ‘Fürst Igor’ von Alexander Borodin hätte Reizgas die Zuschauer der hinteren Ränge zum Husten gebracht. Die Aufführung wurde unterbrochen und das Publikum evakuiert. Keiner habe gesundheitliche Schäden erlitten. Die Polizei hat eine Untersuchung eingeleitet.

Chilean soprano Cristina Gallardo-Domas announced the end of her collaboration as an advisor of the Frutillar Musical Weeks (Semanas Musicales de Frutillar). Gallardo-Domas was working on a very special program for the 50th anniversary of the event, in 2018, yet didn’t find the approval of her colleagues. The soprano said that the resignation was due to differences of opinion with the organization.
