Eine zerstreute Musikerin hatte in einer Münchner S-Bahn ihre Geige im Wert von über 100.000 Euro vergessen. Ein Mann wurde von einer Sicherheitskamera gefilmt, als er das Instrument an sich nahm. Nach der Veröffentlichung von Fahndungsbildern am vergangenen Freitag gingen über 100 Hinweise aus der Bevölkerung bei der Polizei ein. Der Gesuchte, meldete sich anschließend selbst bei der Polizei und übergab den Beamten das Instrument. Nun muss er sich wegen Diebstahls beziehungsweise Unterschlagung strafrechtlich verantworten.

Russia’s Minister of Culture, Vladimir Medinsky, told the press, that the project to purchase Sergei Rachmaninov’s Villa Senar in Switzerland had to be frozen, partly because of the sanctions and partly due to a lack of a consolidated position of the composer’s heirs. Russia wanted to buy the house with all its components, while the family proposed to sell everything separately, the house, the piano, the furniture, and the paintings.
