Le Dimore del Quartetto’s innovative European project designed for the new generation of chamber music performers takes a new step. As of today, the MERITA platform is available online. Its main goal is to increase the visibility and mobility of emerging professional European string quartets, thus representing an important step forward for the European music industry.
The MERITA project, which targets professional string quartets, audiences, music institutions and historic houses, responds to the new needs of the music industry: it increases access to and participation in cultural activities even outside major cities, promotes European cultural heritage and strengthens connections between local and international culture.
Thirty-eight quartets were selected to join MERITA and come from all over Europe (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom).
