The next International Chopin Competition which will take place in October in Warsaw will be available live to music lovers around the world. The Application Chopin Competition will allow to watch all performances in Full HD on mobile devices (iOS and Android systems), smart TV and in web browsers.
Several hours after a given performance it will be available in the app as Video on Demand. The bilingual Polish-English app will contain a constantly updated calendar of events, the information about the participants and members of the jury, as well as archive materials on the history of the competition, including photographs, film clips and recordings.
The Chopin Competition has attracted 160 candidates from around the world, with pianists from the Far East constituting the most sizeable group (26 from China, 25 from Japan and 24 from South Korea). A final list of 80 pianists who will compete for awards in October will be announced after the qualification phase on 25 April.
