John Neschling
Brazilian Conductor John Neschling who has been dismissed from his post as artistic director of the Teatro Municipal in Sao Paulo, is currently investigated for alleged involvement in embezzlement of the Municipal Theatre’s Foundation. He appeared in court yesterday and said that he had contributed to the investigation in a long testimony last month and then invoked his right to remain silent.
In a statement, Neschling disapproved those who act to « liquidate » its name and reputation, saying he has a 50 year career with flawless image. « And it will not be a political plot that we will tarnish my story. »
